This question is worded in a slightly weird way, but if you understand what the question is asking for, it can be solved in about 5 seconds. When the question says how many solutions does the equation have, it really means how many zeros does the equation have, or in other words, what x-values make f(x) equal to 0. We can see very clearly on the graph that the function is at an x-value of 0 three times, at the three points where it crosses the x-axis, so the correct answer to this question is C.
